Volunteer Opportunities: Inside of Sports

Volunteer on a regular basis inside a sports environment. Coach, support athletes, or help competitions come to life! If you have the enthusiasm, compassion, and skill to serve our athletes, these roles might be right for you!

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Review our volunteer opportunities below. If you see an opportunity that is right for you, fill out our Volunteer Interest Form below. Once the form is submitted, our volunteer manager will reach out with more details on availability, need and further steps.

In most cases working with our athletes, a Category A Background Check is required.

OPPORTUNITIES

Coach—Sports

Head coaches are responsible for all aspects of the team: conducting a comprehensive sports training program, delegating tasks to coaches and team volunteers, and responsibility for athletes. To learn more about becoming a coach, click here.

Games Management Team

Our Games Management Team is the magic behind every competition. This team makes up the athlete experience and brings joy to athletes, their families, spectators, volunteers, and more. Games Management Team members are responsible for overseeing daily operations of their assigned functional area within the event.

Head of Delegation

Our Heads of Delegation are key players in our goal to provide even more transformational moments to our athletes and families. This position manages the oversight of the program, including recruitment of athletes and coaches, coordination of practices and competitions, and administrative tasks.

Photographer

Volunteer Photographers help capture the beautiful moments during our events. They are engaging and inclusive and take pictures of competition, awards and interactions that we can share with our athletes and their families.

Sports Clinician

Sports Clinicians provide the instruction and platform for coaches to learn the rules and regulations of their particular sport. Sports clinicians are responsible for presenting a sport-specific training curriculum for the purpose of helping our volunteer coaches meet their certification requirements.

Sports Official/Referee

Sport Officials ensure the safety and rules of the competition and are necessary to ensure the integrity of the sport. This is a great role if you love staying in the action of the game and engaging with our athletes.

Team Volunteer

Team Volunteers may help at practice or assist with an athlete that needs 1 on 1 assistance. They may also serve as chaperones at events.

Unified Partner

Unified partners compete alongside our athletes. They help promote true inclusion by showing our athletes what it means to be included. They will train and compete alongside our athletes on the same playing field.  To learn more about becoming a unified partner, click here.
