Nominate a Volunteer or Coach of the Year!

It takes a lot to coach a Special Olympics team and work as a volunteer at our events and we like to recognize these generous individuals efforts with our Coach of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards. We're looking for nominations!

Submit the forms below to Rick Childree at rchildree@sone.org before April 19th, 2013.

Coach of the Year

This award is for recognizing an outstanding Special Olympics Coach. This award is for those worthy individuals who fill the position oh head coach or assistant coach.

Each nomination MUST be accompanied by a written narrative detailing the nominee’s distinguished service and length of personal commitment to Special Olympics Nebraska. Any individual who coaches Special Olympics Nebraska athletes/Unified Partners may be nominated. A nominee must have at least 5 years of service as a coach to be nominated. Nominations will be judged by the Special Olympics Nebraska Sports and Competition Committee based solely on the submitted nomination form.

Volunteer of the Year

This award is for voluntary service to help improve the quality of Special
Olympics Nebraska programs. The Volunteer of the Year will be announced at Closing Ceremonies of Summer Games.

Each nomination MUST be accompanied by a written narrative detailing the nominee’s distinguished service and length of personal commitment to Special Olympics Nebraska. Any individual, regardless of age who volunteers for Special Olympics Nebraska may be nominated. This includes coaches, assistant coaches, Unified Partners, management team members, etc. Nominations will be judged by the Special Olympics Nebraska Program Committee based solely on the submitted nomination form.
