The Special Olympics Fall State Games were held in Lincoln Nebraska on August 2nd through August 4th of 2019. The fun and heated competition began with Softball held at the Mahoney Softball Complex on Friday August 2nd. Bocce, was held at the Speedway Village, Tennis at the Woods Tennis Center  on August 3rd including the Healthy Athletes and the banquet and dance was at Lincoln North High School.

To wrap up fun and competition Bocce Singles and young Athletes Soccer skilled were both at the Speedway Village, and Golf at the Mahoney Golf Course. The teams that made up the Fall Games were the East Region, East Central, West Region and West Central Region.

At tennis the competition got intense everyone did really well. Great sportsmanship was shown with high fives all around. It was a lot of fun. All teams did amazing job. I got Silver in Singles Tennis. I also played Unified tennis doubles with my dad. We did really well and got bronze medals.

I also played Unified golf for the Fall Games with my partner,Palmer Wright.  We both tied with our own team for Silver the Hoffman brothers Matthew and Austin.  The Athletes want to thank the volunteers , coaches our parents from the bottom of our hearts. You are all the best. Thank you all so much. I personally want to thank my parents and my brother and sister for coming to watch  me play and dad thank you for being my Unified partner.

Special Olympics means so much to us athletes. It means being who we are and doing our best. Special Olympics to me means having fun competing but more, it means not worrying about our limitations not to be teased just to be accepted.

Thank you Special Olympics staff for everything.
